Getting Started - A Summary of Tips

We have compiled some helpful tips to help you deal with issues in the swinger lifestyle. These tips can be useful to anyone currently in the lifestyle or those looking to begin experimenting.
OPEN COMMUNICATION

Open communication is necessary for success in any relationship, but is especially important in the swinging lifestyle. We only recommend swinging with couples we believe are in the lifestyle for the right reasons and are open and honest with each other. You must communicate openly before, during and after any lifestyle activity. You should also discuss each other's rules & limits and it's a good idea to have a plan in place if one partner stretches those limits. You should have a predetermined way of communicating with each other during play. We suggest using a 'code' word that you say to the other if something violates your limits. This word means STOP NOW! The word should immediately stop all action and give you a chance to excuse yourselves from the scene so you can discuss the problem in private. Make sure the code word is one you will remember and not one you'll be inclined to say during sex under normal conditions.



DO IT FOR YOURSELF, NOT FOR YOUR MATE

If you are thinking of joining the lifestyle because your mate is pressuring you, you are in it for the wrong reasons. Swinging will make a strong relationship stronger, and a weak relationship weaker. Any Swinger that you meet in the lifestyle will tell you this and tell you to do it for yourself and NOT for anyone else. By doing it for yourself, you will have a much better time and so will everyone else involved!



BE HONEST AT ALL TIMES

The one thing most swingers dislike is meeting someone only to find out that they do not look like the way they described themselves. Remember that the truth ends up coming out in the lifestyle and dishonesty is a huge turnoff for anyone. Be careful who you trust and remember it is always best to talk before ever meeting someone in person.



SAFE SEX

This is a personal decision but we recommend the practice of protected safe sex at all times. Please take the proper precautions so you and those you choose to be with can stay healthy and live to swing to a ripe, old age.



NO MEANS NO

Any kind of NEGATIVE response means NO!!! Sometimes people just don't click, so please don't take it personally. Just realize it does happen, and it will happen!



THE WOMEN ARE IN CHARGE

Whether or not this is unpleasant for you to hear guys, it is true. Once you relinquish the control and realize this, all your fantasies will come true! Women feel sexy when they are in control and are free to explore without pressure. Enough said!



ALCOHOL & DRUGS

Be sure to use alcohol sparingly. It does free you from many of your inhibitions, but a drunken partner is not much fun, nor will they remember what fun they did have the next morning when they sober up. Drugs in general are not welcome at lifestyle functions.



PRIVACY

If you do happen to see someone you know, don't panic and search for the nearest exit! Realize, they are there for the same reasons you are and we guarantee they are just as surprised as you are. Just remember, privacy is of the utmost importance in the lifestyle and respect others as you would like to be respected.
