LM... In my mind... a hedonist bi would seek out such same sex activity, while a situational bi would go with the moment, but probably not initiate it. YMMV, as always.

Twoplayful2, I was hoping someone would bring this up in a post. Hubby and I have encountered many such couples, and have read many more profiles claiming the female is bisexual, but interestingly enough, they are only in search of female partners. The male half of the other couple is not expected to join in, unless he considers watching a fulfilling activity (he doesn't). We find it puzzling; we thought bisexual meant bisexual. Some days we wryly say that in the swing community it's code for lesbian :/

that is also the way i would define the differnce between the two. sit bi would be someone who isnt seeking it out or initiating it but would go with the flow on a case by case basis. Hedo bi would also be inclined to initiate bi sex and go with the flow.

Yeah, the women in so many of these couples really don't seem "bi" at all, they seem lesbians who happen to be married, though I'm also sure they do like sex with their husbands. But I'm also talking about the couples where neither guy are expected to participate. Their guy isn't even interested, totally gets off by watching, and they're not at all interested in another guy getting involved. And with many couples this isn't situational, this is the only way they like it. Nothing wrong with it, entirely their choice, but it seems to me "married lesbian" would be a more appropriate title than anything else I've seen yet.
