I think the biggest mistake that was made at this particular meet n greet was the date.
Since we don't watch football we didn't realize the date was coinciding with the OSU/Mich game. Many people didn't show up till after the game, and the people who were there early were glued to the game instead of getting to know one another.
I'm just trying to learn so if we are ever involved in setting up one it can be more successful. In an environment not conducive to socializing it's always easier to stick with the people you may already know. I'm sure there were some great people there we didn't get to know.
