Percentage of mature men and women shaved out there in the real world.....

Been reading a lot about the lifestyle, something we are thinking of. I've read the posts about the do's and don'ts and have found them very helpful.

Also the posts about first time experiences....basically a lot of good info here so thanks for sharing.

We are in our 50's..my wife is natural down there, not much trimming being done. Same for me. It seems if you look at current porn sites, most men and women are shaved. Of course most, if not all, of the people in those pics/movies are much younger than we are.

My question to you mature swingers out there, at your gatherings of when you attend an event at a swingers club, how many mature people are shaved and trimmed down below? Is it real common?

I have the read forums about hygiene and if I remember correctly it was suggested to tidy up down there with the razor/trimmer...

Just wondering what your thoughts are?

While slightly younger than you, both the wife and I are shaved, trimmed or waxed.

I personaly trim the top and shave the twig and berries, the Mrs, either shaves completly or leaves a trimmed landing strip up top.

While hygine is one of the reasons we do this there are others as well.

Oral sex is much better without that annoying hair getting in your mouth, there is nothing sexy about your partner stopping to make the pfft pfft sound as they try and get a stray hair out of their mouth.

In my personal opinion women look much better all smooth.

My wife says that sex of any kind is better when she is shaved or waxed, there is more feeling and she is more sensitive. A fresh shave or wax and the right pair of jeans and she is cumming all day.

More and more are shaving but I, for one, still prefer the natural look.

My wife and I have been nudists for over 30 years. It is now common practice for most women and a great number of men we know to be totally shaved.

I am totally shaved and have been for several years. I find that it just feels much better that way. My wife is trimmed. If she shaves, she says it itches after a day or two.

In my experience, most guys are trimmed and a lot of women shave. My wife does not shave (though she trims a little) and frequently receives high praise for being a "natural woman." I trim, but I'm a pretty hairy guy and I've found nothing spoils a blowjob like the lady stopping every few seconds to spit out a pube.

I think a lot of people shave because they see it in porn, or see other people do it, and think it's expected. However, I think it's not actually as desirable as all that.

I trim and shave my balls. Mrs. OCC is now shaving completely. She used to just trim but likes the sensations better totally bare.

I shave and just leave a landing strip and have done so for many years, even before swinging. Hubby shaves/trims as well. I don't think we've encountered anyone at a swinger event that was completely natural...and if we did, we wouldn't be inclined to play with them. Our preference is neatly groomed down there.

We are in our 50s as well. Have partied with people +/- 10 or 15 years from our age and I don't recall seeing someone not shaved. Our preference is to be with people that are shaved, just nicer without all that hair in the way.

My wife and I are "mature", both trimmed "just a little off the top, please." One of my favorite play dates has a bush that would make a psychology professor proud and I think it's great.

As for hygienetics, the microscopic abrasion that razors make are little pathways for letting pathogens get through your protective layer of skin. I have never bought into the hygiene argument for shaving.

Part of our sex play between me and my wife is when I trim her up, about every month or so. It really does feel better loving a tidy little cooch, without all of that hair getting in the way. That said, we've never actually shaved all the way, hardwood floor style. Too high maintenence!

We started in our late 40's and flat out refuse to do things to fit in that we don't want to do.

Try shaving. I totally think everyone should. Then you decide for yourselves, what you want.

We haven't started playing yet, but I trim everything fairly short. I don't shave because whenever I've tried it has made it really itchy and not pleasant for sex! My husband is totally natural. I haven't had issues with hair getting in my mouth during oral sex, but I usually discover a hair or two down there after we have intercourse.

Oh and my hubby prefers me natural, because he doesnt want any prickly hairs while having sex, but I just think it looks neater to trim.

We are a mature couple and we have both been completely shaved for many years. We think the smooth look is much more attactive as well as being more comfortable and hygeinic. We play mostly with a group of six other mature couples and everyone, men and women alike, are shaved.

We're both in our 40's and I keep everything trimmed. The wife started waxing last year and she loves it if you can believe it. The issue is less "shaving" but rather "grooming" an area not typically exposed to others. Nudists and swingers tend to groom their genitalia as much as they groom their heads, faces and fingers/toes. Over the past three decades of practice as a physician, such genital grooming has become more common among the general population.

Our preference: shaved. And our combined age is almost 120.

I'm 56 the wife is 50 and she shaves smooth, the only way to go. ever since my vasectomy I completely shave everything and trim short above. The sensation is much more enjoyable for me and the wife likes to give oral much more thoroughly. So is it easier for you to do a good exam with trimmed naughty bits?

While we are a bit younger than you, I've been around this for about 15 years, surrounded by people older than me the entire time. I can't remember the last time I saw a woman with pubes. Guys typically will trim, but I can't recall running into a guy that was natural. I'm sure I have but that tells you how rare it is. I'm not talking about just couples we've played with, but moreso the number of privates I've just seen flashed, or nude in clubs, at events, etc. It's rare. That said, if you aren't comfortable shaving or (at least) trimming, stick with what makes you comfortable. Just don't be surprised if some people decide that oral is not in the cards.

Back in the day , I was intrigued with shaven women. The various gf would often say ok , but if you want it , you take care of it. Various enjoyable special occasions of doing so . But after a cpl days nasty bristles , ingrown hairs, etc. With out them doing daily self maintainence , I then settled on giving a #1 cut . Ie just long enough to not be bristly , but still see thru.

But in recent years when shaved has become quasi expected , I'm drawn to natural , or just slightly trimmed. I guess I am a contrarian as much as anything.

As for my self over they years have occasionally shaved/ been shaved. But it always looked strange to have that area bald when the rest of me was hairy.everywhere else. Otoh , having your pubes get cought in removing a condom is painful, so that was a practical matter.
