Here's the link to the Neilson forums: Swingtown Opinions, Ratings, News And Reviews at Hey! Nielsen (http://www.heynielsen.com/view/swingtown/#/7275/recent/-5to5/30)

Just wanted to make sure it was actually a site related to Nielson and it is... and the show is getting slammed pretty hard there.

It seems like the people who were enjoying the show Moonlight are the biggest critics (go figure)... ya know if they did some research they'd probably find out that they showed all the episodes they had of Moonlight before they quit....

It looks like it takes a while for the overall opinion score to update. Stuck at 29% for a while.

NCMD is right. We could blow that number out all by ourselves.

That's up then, last time I had looked it was stuck at 24 - and if you look at what the rating score is based on it's a lot more than just the general feeling of the opinions posted. It's as much about the overall popularity of show (# of poeple talking about it in comparison to other shows), as well as reviews in Billboard and other related magazines.

I noticed that there were two parts to rating the show. Your comment, and then under the bar graph (or was it over it) there was another radio button to click on to rate the show.

I just noticed you can post a new opinion about the show every 24 hours... so this is one of those go back daily things.

Been there, voted on the pole as well as gave a few "I strongly agree" to some of the post and "strongly disagree" to others.

Hmmm... well, According to Neilson, Swingtown came in second for that hour last Thursday night.

The Live Feed: ABC halts Fox's 22-week winning streak (http://www.thrfeed.com/2008/06/abc-halts-foxs.html)

I think that's going to count for more in the end than what people are saying on a message board.

High ratings = advertising = not likely to be cancelled.

On the one hand it is great to be able to "react" to the posts. On the other hand, it sucks when everyone hates mine.:o

It is currently the first one on page one, our member name is randp. One thing I noticed is that when I click on the link above, I then have to click on first post because it currently takes you to the third page of posts. Kind of funky software they are using.

This link should take you to the page my post is on. (http://www.heynielsen.com/view/swingtown/#/7275/recent/-5to5/0/)

Odd that yours got so much negative while others with much stronger (positive) opinions got more positive reactions... might just be that yours has gotten so few reactions so far.

The numbers jumped up drastically over night. From an overall score of 24 to 66. Moving it from #450 something all the way up to #32 (out of 11260).

Well alot of people like it too! The thing that I DO agree with the "haters" on is it SHOULD be on HBO...then they could really get down & dirty. Some of the scenes on the Sopranos & even Deadwood were really hot! C'mon guys...VISUIALS PLEASE!
