If you didn't like the pictures, would you still meet?

We would probably still at least meet them. Personality always plays an important role and your not always going to be sexually attracted to everyone you come in contact with. If new friends come from the meeting then we consider the meeting a success whether we ever have sex with them or not.

I have had several times where I saw a pic and started thinking maybe "not"... but if all else is good I have always gone ahead and met with the people. I'd say it's been about half and half where the people have looked better than they did in their pics.

Some people just aren't photogenic.

The wife and I have met a few people who looked much better in person than in their pics. So pics can be good for initial attraction. They at least let you know if you could be attracated to them.

But there are some that are just terrible. LOL My wife says I'm to hard on the guys. Now, I am in no way homophobic, and I have no problem saying if I think anybody (male or female) is attractive. But I look at the pics and wonder if I really want to see THIS guy making-it with my wife... There are some people (male and female) that you just don't want to see naked.

After all, if photos were actually credible, reliable and accurate . . . I suppose I'd be left believing that the majority of single men [and a good number of the married fellas as well] on most sites are actually "purple sea serpents", as that is what their photos most resemble, IMO.
