I'm not ready for that yet. I'm not getting to know her only for that type of a connection.

I think she liked me. If she didn't she wouldn't have spent that much time with me. I have never sent a woman sex signals so I don't know what the heck I'm doing or what I should be looking for from her. There weren't any signals she gave me...I don't think.

She may be in the same position.

If I had been myself (no cold meds) I would have brought the topic to sex (not swinging, just general sex talk), because I can do that so naturally with any female friends. I didn't do that with Vi...even with great looking men in the coffee shop! I usually talk about sexy looking men. Where was my head!?

So I'll have to leave sex-talk for our next meeting.

I'll be feeling well then, and instead of Chai tea I'll have a martini in hand.

That should help the conversation go in a new direction.

I'm sorry LM, I just thought that sex was the general direction of your course.

Nothing wrong with having a great sexy, but "safe", friendship with her. My Fem D has the best friend. She may have thought about getting to know her better but now thinks that she should just have a vanilla confidant available. It makes things spicy to think of the two of them together but that's her decision. And this one is yours.

We're just very happy you seem well adjusted enough to her that she can make herself available to you (as a friend)!

We know what a super great gal you are, she doesn't...yet!

I have not written her off as a potential playmate by any means.

I am not going to pounce on any man or woman I just met in the vanilla world. It's a different situation at a swing club. You make your connection early.

This will take some time. I don't mind that at all.

I know that I would have been thinking in the sexual way because of that comment even if I knew there was only a chance of just being friends. That's how my male mind works anyway. It has now been a week since Vi and I met at the coffee shop and I haven't heard from her since.

Bummer.

On an up note, I made my second trip to the coffee shop this morning at 9:00 to meet another girlfriend. Boy! That place is busy that time of day and, best of all, we were the only women in there!

Nine great-looking men where spread about the place, all a little different, all tasty little specimens to a hungry swingerette.

I made a decision.

I'm going hunting at 9:00 am next Friday...maybe all by myself this time. facelick

Yikes! I'm wondering if you'll need to test the waters a bit more quickly next time you get together. I don't think another e-mail mentioning how you felt under the weather and weren't totally yourself would hurt a thing, and you might even make it a point to have a little evil laugh with her and bring up your sexy subject discussion when you initially met her.

If you speak as well as you write, I see no problems for you whatsoever with her.

On a related note, have you shared with your hubby the news about all the good looking guys at the coffee shop checking you out? Maybe you've found yourself a treasure trove here for lots of experiences!

Either way, I'm sure the entire board speaks for me when I say we NEED to hear all the juicy details! Now if we can just get Mrs. Naughty to be a bit more brazen and direct with the Waterboy, we'll have two hot novels going at once!

Not yet. But when he arrives home tonight he'll get the full story. We are always telling each other about the hotties we see when we're out at the grocery store, mall, gas station, you name it. If there's one thing we like talking about, it's how we sniff out potential partners.

We figure if either of us can get a conversation going with someone, it may lead to a drink some night, and who know's what next.

If I get a guy to open up to me at this "Java Joint" I'd consider it trickle-down karma.
