I use the power surfing method.

I click on the New post/last visit menu option at the top of the page. Then I hold down my control key and go down the list clicking on each last read arrow on the threads I wish to read. This opens each of them in a new tab (in Firefox) to the last read post. After I am done with that I read the threads in each tab, closing it when I am done.

Note - If you use Firefox and wish to do this, you have to make sure the "when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" box is unchecked in "tools/options/tabs" browser menu.

This works in IE7 also (at least with whatever version/plugin I have). I use the tab thing constantly. Can't stand to have multiple windows open anymore.

That's the method have used since joining the site. It seems to be a good way to work through the new stuff after your first couple of months researching the older stuff.

Put that in your favorites folder and open the site straight to the new posts since last visit
