Hit the "Go Advanced" button. That will take you to the full reply box, with all the posting options. But above that will be what you had typed into the "Quick Reply" box. What you had already typed will also still be in the reply box for easy edit. |

Instead of hitting the first "submit" button, scroll down and you will see several other options including one for posting a poll. Check the box to post a poll and enter the number of options you plan to have in the poll (this can be changed if you need more or less), then hit submit. You will then be taken to another page that will have you input the poll question and options. If you want users to be able to select more than one answer to the poll then be sure to check the box next to "allow multiple choice". |

You can't post an attachment (picture or otherwise) from the Quick Reply. To post an attachment, you must go to the Advanced Reply page by either click "Post Reply" at the top or bottom of the thread, or by clicking the "go advanced" button under the quick reply box. You can also get there by clicking the "Quote" button on a previous post. Once you get to the advanced reply page, scrolldown underneath the "Submit Reply" button and you will see "Additional Options". One of them should be "manage attachments". Click on that and it will open a new window. Click the Browse button and it will open a browse window that will allow you to find (on your hard drive) the file you want to attach. Once you have selected the file it will return you back to the box with the browse button and another button that says "Upload". Click that button to upload the file to the board. You can attach up to 3 files to one post. Once you have uploaded all of the files you want to attach just close the window and when you submit your post, the files will be submitted with it. In MOST cases, files have to be approved before they will be visible to the general viewing, however some forums automatically allow images. So, if you don't see your image with your post right away it is most likely awaiting moderation. |

Is there one place on the board explaining these symbols and others used on the board? {keeping a smile in preparation for being duly embarassed by my questions}LM |

The Tack pin next to a thread means that the thread is an important thread which has been "stickied" to the top of the particular forum. You'll see this with the word "Important" next to the tack pin. |

Once you have that you can add a picture to your profile by selecting "User CP" on the main menu then "edit profile picture" from the selections on the left of your User CP. To add a custom avatar, select User CP from the main menu, then select "edit avatar" from the selections on the left. Scroll down below the selectable avatars and you will see the "Custom Avatar" options. Select "Use Custom Avatar" and then you can either provide a URL for an image that is already on the internet or you can upload the image you wish to use. Custom avatars must be no larger than 75x75 pixels. Last edited by JustAskJulie : 12-11-2004 at 12:33 PM. |

Custom avatars must be 75x75 pixels or smaller. Go to your User CP and click on "edit avatar." At the bottom of the page that comes up, click "Use custom avatar." Then click "browse." Find the image you want to use and click "Open." At the bottom, click "save changes." |

Just wondering because I saw someone do this & it's an entirely dif. question from the one the original poster had asked. Not really fair to the original poster to get off topic, right? Do you monitor these or should we point it out in some way? |
