I kinda like that idea. I mean really if the regulars around here can't at least contribute one good recipe then I think we should include a naughty little blurb about them in the back of the book... or maybe a special foreward dedicated to our non-contributing friends ....

No need to kiss up Jen, I can testify that you have sent in at least one recipe, I think at least 2 but without actually going and looking I can't be sure.

I think second place for most recipes currently goes to Sportsterguy, with third probably being M&B, so where are the rest of you ?

Latest Count, thank you to all who have submitted recipes. The email I sent out yesterday to the mailing list brought in a few from folks who aren't even registered on the message board.

Desserts: 10
breads: 1
Appetizers/ Drinks: 4
Soups/ Salads: 6
Misc: 3


So we're up to 52 now, getting closer every day. The more the better. There's no reason we should stop any number of recipes. The more we can get in there the better.

Keep em coming. Seems once you guys start things rolling you do well with keeping them so... so here's today's updates on the recipe count..... don't let the fact that we are coming closer to the goal or even when we hit it, stop you from continuing to send in those recipes....

Is this a specific deadline or just a goal date? (Ya know, in order to get the book in February?) I have no clue how all this works.

At this point (since it seems that we will meet it) that is the specific deadline for getting recipes in to me, so that I can in turn get everything put together and sent out in time to meet the deadline in order for the books to be published mid-February. Obviously the longer we take getting everything put together the later the books will be ready. (It takes about 3-4 months from when I send everything in for the books to be ready and back to me).

I take this to mean that WRNAKEDRU likes dickering & lickering . I have found that offering candy is dandy (a bribe or dickering) but that lickher is quicker to dickher.

So you mean - you don't want your cookbook on cd-rom - but you don't want to disallow the option - if others may want it in that form.

Surely you didn't mean you won't be buying a cookbook?

I'll bet there will be MANY bought just to see what all it contains, even if they never utilize [or read] so much as one of the recipes!

Since the "main" topic is recipes though, I'm wondering if things like "edible" body paints you can make at home might not be a good thing to include.

OR - your personal "make your own lube" recipe, with various flavor options and "texture" [thick/thin] choices.

Or other things that "adult" stores hang a pretty good price tag on - that can be done to your own particular "taste" - at home.

The already mentioned entertainment section could include
"ice-breaker" game suggestions. Some excellent ideas for these
have shown up on the board - but having all of them together in the cookbook would really be handy for home host & hostessing.

A small "etiquette" section . [more than "table manners"]

Wow - a kazillion handy sections come to mind. We may have to come up with our own set of encyclopedias!

While we won't be including an "entertaining" section (ala Martha Stewart) there is the MISC section where we can include recipes for such things as edible body paints and other such.

As far as changing your vote, I can't actually change it, but it is noted.

Since it really won't cost me anything to offer the CD-rom version, I'm sure we will do so for those that want it.
