And of course, if they aren't interested or display a shocked attitude , you just dismiss the entire thing with a look, a dismissing wave of the hand and say, "Oh! That is something Mr. O brought home!" And then just shake your head again. - EBF (sorry, Mr. O....)PS: If anyone with an "attitude" ask about mine, I plan to say, with the same look, "Oh! I have a friend in Ohio that sent this to me. She thought it was so funny!" Last edited by Elusive BiFem : 08-18-2003 at 09:01 AM.

OH, my that is even harder to hide! If it turns out to be a book, then I think everyone at a meet and greet should have to exchange their copy with another with an autographed portion which would have 'misleading' proof that a crazed friend sent it to ya, should some unknowns happen upon it! Just thinking ahead here.... ![]()

CD??? Book???Julie did a poll - CD vs. Book. I don't know what her final decision will be or if it will be both. But now that's a good idea of the autographing. But didn't Julie tell you? When the book is published, you as the Lead Moderator, and me as the Newbie Moderator, are going on a national book signing tour. Gosh...I'm really surprised she hasn't mentioned it. That's not like Julie. Maybe she was distracted. Borders!! Good Morning America!! Oprah!! - Ms. O and EBF!! Here we come.......... -EBF

Anyway...since I could not think of anything funny, wrnakedru did the honors for me....and here is what I sent to Julie last night: Elusive BiFem struggled to come up with an amusing and catchy piece of information, but due to her inability to write anything in less than 5 pages, wrnakedru came to her rescue with the perfect description: Elusive BiFem - As the "unicorn" sought by 98% of new swingers everywhere, she has managed to take time out of her busy schedule to share recipes for our cookbook. EBF does confess the recipes are old family favorites as she purportedly has difficulty boiling water for instant coffee in her microwave. I like it!! - EBF ![]() |

If we get enough recipes for a printed book we will most likely do both. However, if we don't get enough to make it worth printing we may still do the CD-rom version. As for putting the SB logo on it, that's still in debate, perhaps a more toned down version of it, of course in smaller scale it's harder to see what's going on in the pictures unless you look really close. But, I think people are more likely to buy the book if they would feel comfortable having it out on the counter. There will be plenty of info within the book about swinging that if someone actually started flipping through it there would be little doubt as to who put it out. |

Since Martha Stewart hasn't covered this topic yet, how about tips on entertaining when you have a couple over, or several couples? What I've encounter so far is that trying to put out treats during lifestyle events is a bit of a challenge. This hostess does not want to be in the Kitchen when entertainment starts; she's hoping to be the entertainment. So fare I've found that salsa and chips work with deli tray for later but I'm sure everyone has great suggestions. -- Bunny |

Yes we can use recipes you've found in other cookbooks and magazines, however those should not be the focus. Preferably the recipes you submit should be your own or variations of recipes you have found elsewhere. 2. I will be setting up something in the next week or so for pre-orders. I don't want this to go the way the t-shirts went where I shelled out the money then no one bought them, so we'll do pre-orders to at least make sure that there is enough REAL interest to make it worthwhile. Hopefully, I can also get some of the clubs interested in selling them (so if you are reading this and you are a club owner who might be interested in selling these through your club please feel free to contact me - otherwise I will be contacting you shortly). |

Although don't let that stop you from continuing to send in main dishes... those are good too. Everyone try to send in at least 1 recipe... we've all got at least one, and it doesn't have to be perfect. This is about having fun and sharing our favorite foods/ recipes, not about creating a perfect cookbook with exact measurements ![]() |
