When you opt to send an e-mail to another member, please keep in mind that it isn't as if you have posted to the board (where you can refer to previous posts) and that the only thing that the receiver will see is exactly what you have type written. Quite often I receive e-mails or private messages from other members here that are referring to a posting in a thread. Unfortunately when no reference is made to the thread itself or the remark in question, it is difficult to determine the origin or the reasoning behind the comments of the sender. I do try to answer all messages sent to us, but it becomes difficult when I need to go back and retrace what the sender is referring to in order to respond to them. Many times I am unable to do so and feel pretty doggone foolish for sending out an message that says I don't understand what you are talking about. Just keep in mind that when you press the button for sending someone an e-mail or private message, be sure to include in your text the nature and origin of your message. Guaranteed you'll get more rapid responses! ![]() Lori

YEA!!! Just a reminder that when you e-mail or private message someone from the board, unless you reference what you are talking about, the recipeint will have no clue as to what you are referring to. I recieved four mailing yesterday in which three of them, I have no idea what they are talking about. It's hard to help or respond if you haven't a clue as to what situation they are referring to. You'll find most all of the members around here are willing to help out, just help us to help you! ![]() Lori of OhioCouple

My question are... Am I able to move PM's that I need to save to a created folder? And will they count against the maximum of 50 per user, if I do so?

I believe you have to make that choice each time you send one out. If you always say NO, that would certainly cut down on the number mounting up quite so fast. I do keep a copy - just in case I need to refer to it when I receive a response. I do try to clear out "old business" ones once or twice a week. Keeping an eye on that message up at the top of the main forum board helps too - - it keeps count for everyone as to how many total are in the PM area, so that we know when to go clean some of the older ones out. My guess is that no matter what folder you create or store PMs in, they are going to count toward your 50 total. I think that is a program created allotment for each user regardless. If you have one that is definitely something you wish to save for an indefinite period of time, you could always do a cut, copy and paste to a word document for yourself. That way you can even write your own notes up at the top of it - to help jog your memory about why you've saved it. [If you're anything like me, sometimes THAT is the most crucial thing about saving it - the note about WHY!] ![]() |

I'm really not sure if they will count against your total # of PM's tho. I'll have to look into that some more. |
