Contest: Custom Avatar Contest

Since the other contest is only open to those who have gotten their Swingers Board tshirt..... I thought I should post one that everyone can enter.

It's been a while since we've done this.... so it's time.

An avatar is that little image that shows up to the side of your posts and represents who you are in our online community. Once you hit 10 posts you are allowed to upload a custom avatar (rather than choosing from our stock characters).

So the contest is to be creative and create a custom avatar that represents you. Again, remember the rules on images in general - no pink and no penis (this includes drawings, cartoons, etc). The avatar should be created by you not something you found online.

Once you've created and uploaded your custom avatar post to this thread that you are entering the contest. Then starting Nov 15 we will vote on the best/ most creative avatar.

Winner will receive 2 Swingers Board tshirts (or a $25 Gift Certificate to Amazon.com - if they already have their shirts).

OK, since no one is stepping up how about this one of my beautiful love! Not sure if this will qualify but it's worth a try.

It qualifies, like I said the only real rule is no pink and no penis (must conform to our usual photo rules). There will be more coming I'm sure... creativity takes time. We haven't done one of these avatar contests in a few years, but the last time we did we had quite a few entries when it was all said and done.

I wanted to use this one... but the smallest I could shrink the file size was 27k... the 20k limit was too small.

This one is 47k... but has a few more frames and is sharper.

Maybe I'll just have to make a new one with updated images.

You're going to have to keep working on it so you can actually upload it as an avatar (it has to show as your avatar to count). You might need to decrease the number of frames you are using to make it fit.

I'm going to be trying out a few avatars before I finally settle on one by Nov 15. I might see if I can construct an animated avatar, so I might even learn something in the process.

You can change it as many times as you want until we start voting. So don't feel like you have to wait until you have your final entry to post that you want to participate.

I changed it, along with my title. "Shy but brave" was stolen from a set of Winnie the Pooh stickers that was given to me by one of my younger patients.

I hope we'll have more folks than this join in the fun. If you need help getting an image uploaded or resized feel free to let us know and I'll do what I can to help. I know we can find some interesting ways to present ourselves

It's amazing how often we are known by our avatars, there are many times that I've been talking to folks and they've mentioned someone by their avatar but can't recall their username. It really is your FACE on the web
