I've been adding some features to the site to help out with search engine placement among other things. I've already had a couple of issues pointed out to me. SO if you notice anything that seems weird or like it's not working quite like it should, please let me know.

That should be fixed. THere was a setting to notify post owners of linkbacks. I turned that off (because I was getting them too).

Posting this here as requested by Julie, because I ran into a problem and she suggested seeing if anyone else has it as well:

In threads that have gotten long, the forum software seems to load just a chunk of the headers. When I try to go to an article farther down the list, clicking the article causes the page to refresh back at the top of the page.

A good example today: "Name that swinger" thread. I am using Firefox, and I can't get past the first couple dozen articles before the full-page refresh happens and I'm back at the top, no matter what article header I had clicked.

Julie suggested changing number of posts/page, but neither high nor low values helped. However, I had been using Threaded mode, and she suggested I try one of the others. Hybrid display mode makes it work again -- I can click an article, the page refreshes to a set of articles which includes the selected article somewhere -- so it would appear that Threaded mode has a problem.

Does anyone else see this?

Try Linear mode (that is the default mode) and see if that helps.

By "articles" you are referring to the threads here in the forum correct?

Julie... I have not changed any of my forum display settings, so I assume it's in Linear mode. I just noticed that it was happening to me today as well.

I'm using Firefox as well, but I don't think that it makes a difference. I looked at the HTML source and it seems to be in the code.

Yes, you should see that bit at the very top of the page. Then down the page you should see the full thread underneath it like normal... which I'm guessing you are seeing since you replied.

on My end the email link does not go to the first unread post nor has it ( Last night is when I noticed it the most) gone to the page the last post was on, it either loads the entire thread from page 1 or the previous page to the last post I read.

I've never used the email subscriptions so I can't really answer to how they SHOULD work, or when that might have changed.

If you come to the forums and on the top menu click "new posts" then when that list comes up just click the downward arrow to the left ofthe thread title it will take you to the first unread post (since you last read the thread) in the thread.
