So often the advice given on situations doesn't need to come from experience but just an outsider view and maybe a little common sense. Common sense is easy for most, but too often when we are the ones IN a situation or asking a question it's harder to put ourselves on the outside. It's funny. If someone asked me the same questions I've asked I'd have answers for them, but when it's me in the situation it's a whole different thing.

Julie, I've been lurking here for quite some time. Posted a few times but usually find that what I have to say is being said better than I might say it.
I'm like rt829... hopeful, curious but not likely to benefit from experience in the lifestyle. My wife is highly unlikely to embrace her curiosity and 'go for it'.
I'm quite happy lurking as long as I'm not identified as a troll... ewww Wouldn't want to be a bother.

Everyone is welcome and there is a HUGE difference between a lurker and a troll.

Lurkers are always welcome and we are always happy to help you any way we can. Feel free to participate where you feel comfortable and if you ever feel you have anything to add (even in the non-swinging topics) jump right in.

Trolls on the other hand aren't here to benefit they are here to harm, they come with the sole purpose to stir up trouble.

Actually there is one... just that not everyone uses it. When you post or reply if you look just to the upper left of where you are typing your message you will see the spellcheck button

For those who have either stated or posted in the poll that you don't post because you feel like someone else has already said what you have to say.....

SO WHAT!

SO many times I've posted something and not been clear and someone else has come behind me and said what I MEANT to say so much better than I have. Sometimes even the slightest difference in the way something is said makes the meaning more clear or gives someone a thought they would not have had otherwise.

SO go ahead and post your thoughts, even if you think you are just repeating what's been said, you may say it in a different way that makes more sense to someone than the way it was previously said, or in a way that sparks a new thought in someone else and makes them say "well what about....".

Never EVER think that your words don't have value here. They do, so please share them.
