Welcome back everyone!

As you can see I finished the upgrade in record time, and everything seems to be working perfectly .

However, it is possible that I could have missed something in the upgrade process, so please let us know if you find anything by posting in the comments thread so I can get it fixed.

Below is a list of all (at least everything I can list) features now present in the new site:

• Avatars - Yes for those that knew them and miss them, they are back
• ieSpell Check - First time you open an editor window you will notice a spell check icon. Click on it and it will allow you to install a spell check extension for Internet Explorer. The database is maintained by Websters so it catches just about everything.
• New Stories Section - We've totally rebuilt the stories section, with enhanced formatting ability as well as top author features.
• New Clubs Section - We've rolled out a completely new clubs section, with enhanced club lists, reviews and ratings. Check it out and update your club listing today!
• New layout and themes - We've completely revamped the theme system to give you many choices of how you wish to experience the site while you are here. Check them all out and choose the one you like best.
• Faster forums search engine - find what your looking for faster than ever before.
• Multiple-Quotes - Now you can quote multiple messages in a thread instead of trying to copy/paste and quote or reply to each individual message. To use multi-quote: Click the quotes icon on each post you wish to quote and then click the big "Reply" button, a full editor window will pop open with all your quote laid out for you in order.
• Enhanced WYSIWYG Editor - The editor is even better than ever, and has new features such as in-line linking and formatting tools.
• New Posts Tool - The Active Posts system has been replaced by new posts and "Today's Posts". The system will track each post you read and will not mark posts as read until you read them or actually mark them as read. So accidentally closing your browser or a system crash won't keep you from reading everything.
• New chat system - check out our new chat system, which is faster and loads much quicker than the previous version.

This is just a sample of everything that is new and improved on the forums. Check things out and have fun!

I do want to expand on a couple of the features that you mentioned.....

Multiple Quotes - please remember when using this to edit each message that you are quoting to only include the bit you are replying to/commenting onj, otherwise it will make for some VERY long messages.

There is also a change to how adding a link to your post works. Instead of clicking the link button and entering both the text you want to link and the link URL in a popup window. You now type your message as you normally would, then highlight the text you want to link, click the hyperlink button and enter the URL you want to link to and it automatically creates the link.

The New Stories Section - this is an awesome upgrade but I realize it will take some getting used to for those who use it regularly. In the transition we did lose the old comments/reviews for stories, but we were able to salvage the ratings. This is a good excuse to go back and read through the stories and don't hesitate to post new comments.

The New Clubs section - this has also been completely revamped. We were able to keep the reviews and ratings intact in this case. The biggest change is in the layout of the actual club listings.

Again, don't hesitate to post any feedback in the comment box. (Please don't post them in this thread, we need to try to keep everything in one place).

A couple of other features to mention/ expand on.

Color Scheme - If you aren't thrilled with the color scheme (whether it be background or font color or whatever) you can change it. We've added several really nice ones for you to pick from and you can view those from the drop down list on the bottom right hand side of the page. You'll see a drop down list with the current scheme (peach) selected. Just choose another color scheme. Try them all until you find one you like. And if you don't find one you like, let us know what you want and we should be able to find one for you.

New Posts - You may notice that "Active Topics" is no longer on the menu list. Instead we just have new posts, but new Posts has now been updated to be much more usable. Instead of being cookie based so that it only shows the new posts since your last visits it actually shows all posts that you have not read. The newest (since your last visit) at the top of the page and all the other posts you've missed out on below that. This is a great opportunity to catch some of the threads you've missed along the way. However, if you get tired of having a really long list that you can never get through, you can clear the list by going to the top menu and clicking "quick links/ mark all forums read".

However, most reviews in the stories section did make it. I was able to salvage about 90% of them from the old system. You can see the reviews for the stories by looking on the sidebar of each story. And read all the reviews of each story by clicking "read all".

I've rewritten the scripting for the "New Posts" menu. You now have several options akin to the old "Active Topics" system.

When you select "New Posts" you will have the following options:

• Last Visit
• Last 24 Hours
• Last 2 Days
• Last 3 Days
• Last 4 Days
• Last 5 Days
• Last Week

These options will show any messages regardless if you have read them or not. The "Today's Posts" under "Quick Links" still gives you read vs non-read. And the way the system tracks read messages has not changed. If you want to mark all messages read after you are done, you can do so from the "Quick Links" menu as you did previously.
