Update on the Board Issues

Some of you have just gotten used to them, some of you are using Firefox and not even noticing them, and others are still trying to figure out what's wrong.

The issues still exist and we do know about it. I do have a programmer working on them, and I still have my fingers crossed that they will get things fixed, but the progress is going VERY slowly.

I really appreciate everyone's patience over the last few months as we have dealt with this. I really appreciate all of you who have stuck with us. Please continue to bear with us as we continue to work on and resolve these issues.

Julie, as fun as the avatars and pictures are, it's really the text that is the most important. And that hasn't been effected. No problem. Thanks for making this site possible. And best wishes again.

Edison here--Just a guess, but I think the 'blank' webpages are from that 5 second (or is it ten) second rule for clicking windows. I bet if you take that out, the problems will evaporate.

There's not a 10 second rule for clicking anything. The only time limit is between making posts (to help prevent spam), which has been in existance much longer than the blank page issue.

I've seen the "time limit" message myself. I don't remember the exact wording, but it's something like, "You don't have permission to make more than x queries in x time". It looks like a rule established in the database structure to limit the speed of the bots (to keep them from tying up the query engine and thereby denying service to people that have to actually click their mouse buttons). I saw this when I was reading ancient threads, not when posting new replies or new threads.
