Rating Threads: Help Us Archive

As you might know we have a pretty extensive archive on most topics related to swinging. These are older threads on various topics that we have closed to new posts and moved to a categorized area; hopefully making it easier for those just starting out here to find specific information. With over 100 new threads being started each week it can be a little difficult for the mods and I to keep up with the current stuff let alone try to go back and find the good threads to move to the archives.

There's a great feature available here that allows any of you to "rate" a thread. To do this just go to the thread (you can even try it here with this thread) and from the top right side click "rate thread", the drop down will give you star options and all you have to do is select the number of stars (between 1 and 5) that you think the thread deserves. If you think the thread is one that everyone should read please rate it a 5.

This is not intended as a way to slam threads that you don't like. If you have an issue with a thread you can (and should) report it to the mods. To report a thread or specifically a post, just click the caution sign on the bottom right of any post. Please click the sign on the post you are reporting - if it's the whole thread then please click the sign on the top post (when we get the report it tells us which post was reported and if you report the wrong one we may not be able to see what it was you had a problem with). Again please do not use this just because you don't like someone , use it with reason.

Maybe it's just me...but it doesn't say Rate this thread on this particular thread.

How do you rate this sort of thing? What is good for me may not be good for someone else, very subjective.

It is subjective, and you may not want to rate every thread you see, nor should you. But if you think a thread is helpful rate it. Is this particular thread one you will want to rate? Probably not. But there are plenty of them that are and doing so really will be helpful to us (the site as a whole) in the long run.

I see "thread tools" and "search this thread" no rate thread

Do you see it on other threads? On this one it no longer says "Rate Thread", it says "Rating:" followed by stars (displaying the current rating).

You should be able to see the option on all the threads.
