We love to read the sories before we go out for a party they really get us in the mood to play.

For the past three days the link on the list of stories does not link to the correct story but jumps to the main page. I could not find a help email address to let the administator know of this problem so aplolgies for using te message board for this purpose

I know what you mean about the stories! They are great for warming you up! LOL

That is a strange problem you are experiencing, as I did go and read one of the stories there this morning and it seemed to be working fine. Have to admit though I haven't been there in weeks. Perhaps it is a glitch that is now fixed?

It's actually a fairly common problem and has to do with security settings... both mine and yours.

In order to keep other sites from linking directly to stories (stealing them and my bandwidth) I install a simple security script that requires you to visit the stories from a link on this site.

However, if your security settings on your computer are set too high, you won't be able to reach them regardless. The usual culprit here is Norton Security software. If you have it, disable it and you should be able to get to the stories just fine. If you have another firewall, decrease the security level and it should help. If you don't have a firewall, check your browser security settings and decrease them to med or low.

Ok, this is from the security info on one of my other sites. I'm just copying and pasting the relevant parts here:

People using Personal Firewalls like Norton Protector, Black Ice Defender and so on should either configure or disable their firewall so that you can enjoy the site. If you would like to configure your firewall, make sure it is not blocking referring web addresses. We strongly recommend you disable it while viewing our site. We require that users post their referring URL's as part of our security. Many areas of the site are totally inaccessable if this information is unavailable. We aren't selling your information to anyone, or even sending ads to you, or any other sneaky tricks. This is a security function.

Saw this on another site, tried it and it worked for the stories.

1. In Norton, go to "Privacy Control"
2. Click "Custom Level"
3. In the "Customize Privacy Settings" dialog box, uncheck "Enable Browser Privacy"

Julie can we get from you your IP addresses to set up in our firewall to accept your site, there is a facility to welcome a known IP address as friendly.

Would it be possible for you to let me have details of your IP address please, If not I respect your wishes.

Can I send in the final part (part 4) of Mistral's First Time to the swingers story board, just about finished it now Tim and I had a great time reminessing about past events while we wrote this story, hope your readers enjoy as much as we did living it!

It should be 216.226.153.191. You can find this by going to Start -> Run. Then type in 'cmd' and press enter. In the window that comes up, type 'nslookup swingersboard.com'. It will list the current IP.

Also, note that the IP address may change at some point in the future, if Julie ever chooses to change hosting providers, or the hosting provider chooses to move her to a new server. The most reliable way to find it is to do the nslookup and get the most current IP.

Probably more info than you need, but I hope it helps.

Mistral you can send in your stories whenever they are ready, as always I will post them when I can. Keep in mind that many people send in stories and they don't all get posted, but it does take a bit of time for me to go through them all, read them and decide which ones will get posted.

Just out of curiosity, what makes a story "postable"? You have good taste, and I love all the stories. I'm just wondering what would the stories that didn't make it look like?

Hi Perlwizard and thanks for the information that was really kindof you, yes of course run a ping or tracert and it will reveal the IP I was havinga really BLONDE day when I asked such a dumb question, as I should have worked out the obvious.

Shucks I do this work as a job working on the Internet Tim fell off his chair laughing when he read my post and your reply, he said "well hon when you ask a dumb one you don't mess about is it true what they say about blondes?" LOL... He got lunch on his lap today, without a plate!

The main thing is that it's actually a story (not a paragraph or a synopsis), and that is about a swinging experience (involving a couple and another person or people). It doesn't have to be from the couples perspective, but it has to involve a couple (ie. It can't be about just a single guy and a girl having a good time).

Beyond that it has to be at least decently written. I don't expect it to be perfect because the people writing aren't writers. I will edit the stories to a certain extent but if I am reading the story and spend more time editing it than I am reading it, usually about a paragraph in I will say screw it and send it back to the author. If they choose to do a rewrite and send it back that's up to them.

When submitting a story, does it have to be a true one? Or, can it be purly fictional?

I have one I would like to submit (once Ted reads it and says it's good enough, lol) and even though it is not true, some of the things in it have actually been experienced

.

I wasn't sure if you only wanted true stories or not.

It should at least sound as tho it could be true. The biggest thing is that it does have to be about a swinging experience (involving at least one couple). You'd be amazed at how many stories I recieve that don't even meet that requirement.

Swinger story: boy meets couple, girl meets couple, couple meets couple, couple meets girl, couple meets guy, sex ensues... all of those apply.

Non Swinger Story: boy meets girl, boy has sex with girl, the end.
