A Reminder About Politics

With Election time fastly approaching, I realize that politics are high on everyone's mind. However, I must remind you all that politics is one topic that is not allowed on the forums here, that includes political statements in signature lines.

Any threads started regarding politics will be immideately removed.

Any posts within other threads that revolve around politics will be removed.

Any signatures with political statements will be removed.

If you wish to discuss politics, you are welcome to do so at Brad's Place, a forum just for discussing politics run by our own BradandJanet.

I don't understand why swingers should abhor politics, as is often the case. I can see that political opinions might clutter up the central purpose of this board. However, it might be well to think twice about the relevance of politics to the life of swingers, expecially since the inclusion of the "cultural war" in political discourse is of special significance to those in the lifestyle. In brief, swingers ignore politics at their peril.

I like this board because it is an oasis from what I see and hear daily on the news, on the radio, in the newspapers, and at the watercooler at work.

It's not that anyone abhors politics. It is that this board is NOT the place for it and the often heated discussion of such topics can (and would as has been proven from past experience) cause more harm than good as the heat of the political topics would often carry over to other topics.

It is because of that that political topics were banned from this site and in response to that ban that Brad opted to set up a forum specifically for said topics and invite any from this board that wish to discuss the policital topics to do so there.

I would dare so that a large majority of those on Brad's Place are swingers from this board, but by seperate the two topics onto two completely different sites it keeps any ill feelings from boiling over and we don't have to worry about people coming here just to flame political topics.
