Yahoo's built in email spam filters regularly misdirect email that you want to get. This includes newsletters from your favorite sites and emails meant to confirm you registration on this and other forum sites. If you have recently registered and have not recieved your confirmation email. Please check your bulk mail folder. If you do not see it there (or if you may have accidently deleted it prior to looking there for it) you can re-request your confirmation email to be sent to you again, here. Once you make the request be sure to check your BULK mail folder. When you find the email in your bulk mail folder be sure to mark it as "not spam" so that future emails from the site are not continually misdirected. The same problem occurs with the weekly newsletters. If you have signed up for the weekly newsletter and have not recieved it, be sur to check your BULK mail folder for the newsletter. When you find it be sure to mark it as not spam to keep future issues from being misdirected. This is not the only site where you will encounter this problem, and you will most likely encounter it with any forum site that you sign up on or any site where you sign up to recieve a newsletter. (including large sites like Sony and Amazon). ![]() Last edited by JustAskJulie : 08-05-2004 at 12:39 PM. |

I do get any email or pm notices no problem, kind of wierd. While my email provider does have spam filters I have them turned off. I have run into this problem with the forum sights I run too.

Most recently at least three months ago. I've been thru my filters and I'm getting nothing that reflects that it came from the Swingersboard. In fact I do know the names that are designated as spammers and they are just that. I'm curious as to how many people are getting the newletters. For some reason they are not coming thru to me.

If your ISP has any built in spam filters they may be blocking things you want to get as well as things you don't. |

Also, there is something under Internet Options that has some sort of Content filter that prohibits certain things from getting through if it is selected a certain way. Anyway...wondering if that might not be the problem for some people. Ok...I'm ready. Shoot me down. - EBF |

If so, go to "View all folders" and click on the Spam option. I ran across mine a while back and it had several hundred in that folder that I had never but once before in my regular mail, before designating the sender as spam. The four or five senders in there had amassed quite a few that I was shielded from seeing, however they were still being held in that folder. I make it a point to check that now when cleaning out my email folders.

And yep. Sure enough. The minute I say something computer related, I make myself look like an idiot. What can I say? - EBF ![]() |
