Default Expected Behaviour on the Swingers Board

We only have two major rules on this board.
1. No Spamming of any kind. That means coming to this board and advertising your goods or service, whether it is directly or indirectly. Spammers will not receive a warning and will have their privileges revoked on the first offense.

2. No flaming/trolling/personal attacks. We do our best to remain a friendly group here. If you are mad at the world or even a small part of it, this is not a place to vent your frustrations. If you have a problem with swingers, don't come in here looking to pick a fight.

We are here to share question, information and ideas in a friendly manner. If you can do that, then welcome to the board. If not, then please move on and find another place to call home.

Welcome to the board. The best way to jump the hurdle from being a lurker to actually getting involved is by posting an "Introduction". Tell us about yourself and your interest in the lifestyle. The faster we can get to know you, the faster we can make you feel at home here.

We do ask that you follow a few general guidelines when making this your new home. They are really no more than simple netiquette. To some the info below will seem to be common sense, but others who are new to the internet may not realize some of the finer points of communicating in an online forum.

- Please turn off your CAPS LOCK. Typing in all CAPS is considered yelling/shouting when conversing online. There is no need to shout here, we can read you just fine.

- Do not cross-post. Please post your question/topic in only one forum. Duplicate posts will be removed by the moderators.

- Consider those around you when you type. We don't expect anyone to have the best spelling or grammar skills (unless you are an English major), but at least take the time to make sure your posts are readable. If you know that you are a terrible speller or extremely poor at grammar then perhaps take the time to type your message into a word processing program and check it before posting it. At the very least, take the time to throw in a period here and there, and capitalize the first letter of your sentences.

Keep in mind that the easier you make it to read, the more people will read your post and therefore comment on it. If people have a hard time reading it, they are very likely to skip it altogether.

- Show common courtesy. Remember that if you are new here, people don't know you YET. But we do want to get to know you. It is best when you initially start posting to do so in a manner as to not offend anyone. Many people don't take too kindly when you get too friendly on the first few posts. We don't know you yet, so we may not realize you are joking and we may feel uncomfortable if you start treating us like you are our best friend. Start slow, we'll get to know you and we'll all share a mutual respect and admiration in no time.

- Before you do anything else, I'd highly recommend reading through the "Archives". We have moved a lot of older questions there that apply to most everyone. Reading through the archives will most likely help you to answer a lot of your questions.

- Use the "Search" feature. At the top of every page is a button that says "search". Clicking it will take you to a search page, where you can type in a word or phrase and search all the messages on the board for it. When you are dealing with a specific question this can be very helpful to you, as you
probably find that your question has already been asked. It is also helpful to those who have been on the board for a while, so that they don't have to keep answering the same questions.
