When it's hot outside and you sink into hot water, you start sweating. But in the winter months, when it's colder than the forties and the water is about 104 degrees, it's great. The best part of it is the orgasm jet, strictly for women. If the water is properly maintained, Roxy, there are no microorganisms in it. I check ours daily, adjust the chemical balance (ph) of the water and change it when needed. That depends on the amount of use it's had. Today it was full of teenagers, half of them girls, the other half our sons (wearing swim suits, mind you). Tomorrow I have to change the water. I'm not sure if I want that to continue. I'll have to chat with the boys and make some rules. But what rules to make??? Mr. Alura |

It just makes me feel as if I'm lying in the lap of luxury. Followed by a glass of wine, of course. I can't say I've had any multiple-partner hot tub experiences (yet) but find that there is nothing more relaxing than coming home from work and enjoying a visit to the hot tub. Of course, just the relaxation alone can get you in the mood for lot's more fun! And remember, those terry robes come with easily undone sashes. Skinny dipping and walking on a beach? Gosh...that sounds wonderful, but some of us are land-locked with nary a beach in sight. But for a vacation spot that would be grand. I imagine that in the Pacific Northwest they have to have hot tubs as the weather isn't always conducive to skinny dipping or beach walking. But as they say: "When in Rome..." RedRobin |

You know sip some hot chocolate and hang out in our footed jammies. But we have noticed that the weather here doesn't faze the locals who'll just walk around sans brellies letting the rain fall on them... We live on a lake here and we see no sense hopping into a hot tub outside when you can just get on the pier and take the swim ladder down into the water for a soak. Well, maybe two months out of the year you can take a swim... So maybe that explains the hot tub better but I certainly can't jump in when it's 37 degrees out. Perhaps I should jump into the tub for a bubble bath more often than not. There are some kewl bath bombs in stores around here. Hey! I, too like big, thirsty terry cloth robes. I often hop out of the shower and stay in it until I force myself to get dressed. Where in the Southwest are you? ;-* Slutty Wife

You can't beat the sound of the surf at night with a full moon Of course sand can get in places that isn't too comfy.Thats when I head to the lake ![]()

| Swingers Board Addict | We love the beach also but I think the hot tub thing is nice since you can have it in your back yard where the neighbors can't see you and you can make a quick trip to your bedroom afterwards. Quote:

| Here to Stay | The only thing we know for sure about who can and can not use a hot tub are extremely young children and persons with diabities. Pregnant women should not be in them either. From what I understand it is because with the very young, they can't regulate their body temp. like an older person can. And for the diabetic... it has something to do with their circulation. Extremely hot water for a pregnant woman can cause all sorts of complications.... for one I've heard it can even bring on contractions. We have had my 2 year old nephew in ours with no problems.... he absolutly loved it! We keep our tub anywhere from 102 - 106 degrees. It's not that much above normal body temp. and it's just fine as long as you don't stay in it for hours at a time. Though.. I do tend to stay out in it for long periods of time during the winter months... something about being outside naked in the tub with the snow falling down on you is sort of surreal ![]() |

As much as I would like to have one they just don't seem like they would be as fun here in the warm weather. |

I am usually alone in it, and while I would often prefer this not to be true, my wife is less likely to take the few steps into the cold to get to the hot water. We do not do a lot of sexual activity in the tub, but the jets are a nice warmup when the mood strikes. She says they are like a vibe for her. I have found a bit of fun in this as well. I also really love to lie back and listen to the music of the night while admiring the night sky. The only thing that keeps me inside is wind, and this is an a rea that got 180 inches of snow this season. In the winter it is 104, summer 100-102. We suffer greatly going from the pool to the hot tub in the summer. Keeping the water clean is something very easy once you know how to do it, and with the right system and a little chemistry, minimal use of chemicals is needed. An ozone generator kills most of the microorganisms as well. Chemicals are added after use and periodic shocks polish the water up to keep it very safe and clean. One more thing, alcohol can be an issue in a tub as the dilation of blood vessels can make a blood pressure drop more likely. This could result in a faint if not careful. |

And the idea of soaking in warm water whilst watching the snow fall around you really appeals! Unfortunately, we have little in the way of a view from our gardens, not much in the way of privacy from our neighbours, and little in the way of good snowy weather!!! All in all, we shall almost certainly have to continue envying all of you regular tubbers!

![]() Our hot tub is older than our sons. Before they were born, Mrs. Alura (who thinks she got pregnant in the hot tub. ) asked her ob/gyn person, who told her to keep the temperature below 100 degrees and not to stay in long while she was pregnant. The doctor also told us babies should not use a hot tub because their bodies' "thermostat" has not yet developed enough to control their body temperature. I think they started using the tub at four or five. We've not had any problems. They're pretty healthy. ![]() Mr. Alura
