Thoughts on Hot Tubs

We use bromine too but no help, wish it did help with sliding!

Maybe we have a great misfit that helps make it tough to get started!

I discovered that chlorine is hard on sterling silver jewelry.

Next time I'll take it off ahead of time.

I love hot tubs, and if I could be in an outdoor tub when the weather is cold it would be divine.

That's really awesome, you're right. On one trip to 'our' cabin in November, it snowed. Sitting in the hot tub, warm as toast, while the flakes swirled around us was an almost surreal experience. Little icicles formed on our wet hair, but we didn't care.

It's fun too, to jump out and stand naked in the cold wind, at least for a few minutes. But, hey, you can always jump back in again!

Has anyone here ever been in a tub where the owner was trying to save heating money and kept the temperature below 100? It was the weirdest thing for me when I was in it. They kept the temperature at 98 and I was SHIVERING (not for any good reason). I couldn't have any fun in there.

Once I get a tub, it will be steaming.

Well, here in the NW we love our hot tubs. Ours is for quiet times (almost religious) and play times with a small group. For us, it is only an ice breaker (no pun intended) because sex is very difficult because of the drying effect on the female parts of the hot water. I have been told that intercourse can happen but we prefer to use it as foreplay. Our house rules are no textile in the hot tub. This rule can bring a shy person to the right frame of mind. Meaning "I could never go naked with other people but it is the rule, so I have to."

We know how to keep the chemicals correct and ours is always crystal clear and free of nasty stuff. We love ours.

We don't have access to a hot tub to use with another couple, but it sure sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

102F to 104F is the best we have found. Any higher and you can't stay in. 104F is best when you want the ladies hot and to pop up on occasion for a facelick good view facelick

Hot tubs are great for ice-breakers to take the clothes off, but I (male) get to relaxed in them. After sitting in a hot tub for more than ten min I just want to chill out and relax. When that happens my unit wants to be relaxed also. So I rather get some sex first then do the hot tub to relax. Women...I think can go either way, but "K" feels a pain in her crotch the next day after sitting in a hot tub for a while.

Wouldn't hot showers be as fun?

Living in the upper midwest, winter nights, bottle of wine, nothing like it in the world. There are two key elements. First of all maintaining proper chemical balance. This is quite easy once you are use to it. Second is temperature. We keep ours at 100 to 101. Any warmer than this and eventually your body needs to cool down, typicall after 30 to 50 min. This will have an impact on your performance

Also it is quite nice to have outdoor speakers to listen to some great music.

We love our Hot Tub, and as others have said proper maintenence is the key. Anytime I see it out of balance it is off limits until I can bring it back or dump it and start fresh. Another thing we do, anytime we rent a cabin elsewhere I take my chemical strips and check the water and add what I need to to balance it. Alot of places will just add water and no chemicals.
