In general, there isn't alot of drinking at our parties. However, if anyone has an answer to "Where do I stash everyone's things?", I'd love to hear it. It seems like the last hour is spent with everyone trying to find their undies.

The one food idea that has worked best is the reliable deli tray. You don't have to heat it and it is self serve. Fruit plates have tons of potential as well. The question is whether to have bananas.

We recently went to a newly opened party house and our hosts asked for suggestions as to what we thought was needed.
In hindsight, a section of cubbys,(like we had in grade school) in the common dance room, would be a welcome improvement. That way, as the clothes start to come off, they can be immediately stashed close by without having to wander off. The room also was where most of the hook-ups were made so having the cubbys there with the assorted bags of toys everyone brought would be ever so handy.

We never supply anything more then mixers and soft drinks. The rest is BYOB. One, we don't have a clue what many will want to drink and also I don't want to be responsible for people getting drunk and driving.

We get boxes of the plactic take out bags from Sam's club. We put them in one bedroom with a sharpie pen for people to put their name in the bag as they put their things into that bag. That room is for "things' only, no playing in that room.

Food can be a hard one at any party. We have had parties for anywhere from 10 to 350 people before. We always get lots of munchies and most of the time we will cook the "main food" for about half of the people when it is a large party and for everyone if it is a small party. Sometimes we run out, other times we are eating left overs for a week. Good luck on the food.
