Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, more Al Green. I also love Everlast.

Oddly, if music is playing very loudly, and it's not songs to which I know the lyrics intimately, I find it very distracting and can't climax. I wind up listening to the damn words.

Anything with a hard pounding beat.

Or Nazareth - Hair of the dog - I love that album.

Ack! Way too many possibilities. In no particular order, and without concern for whether it's sex or romance or just "background" I'm "programming" for:

Snow on the Sahara from Snow on the Sahara - Anggun
Analogue Relaxation from LP - Antiloop
Surrendur Your Heart (mispelled to foil the smilie) from Rhyme & Reason - Missing Persons
[most tracks] from MCMXC A.D. - Enigma (or pick an album)
Con te Partiro from Romanza - Andrea Bocelli
Love on a Real Train from Risky Business (soundtrack) - Tangerine Dream (and a host of others by the same group)
While the Earth Sleeps from Essence of the Forest - Deep Forest
Tangled Up in Blue on [various albums] - Bob Dylan
Someone Like You from Bridget Jones' Diary (soundtrack) - Dina Carroll
[various tracks] from Gondwanarain - Silverstate
In Your Eyes (extended version) from Secret World (Live) - Peter Gabriel

I'll second the earlier recommendations for some Marvin Gaye, DJ Sammy, Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight, Enya, Pink Floyd and other of Collins' and Genesis' tracks.

I'd add (artists) Loreena McKennitt, Beethoven (symphonies other than the 9th), Mussorgsky, Ravel, Alan Parson Project, Bryan Adams, Rimsky-Korsakov (try Sheherezade), Vangelis (try Antarctica), Flim & the BBs (try Big Notes), Dire Straits and... and...

Good grief. Time to stop.

Edit: Oh, damn near anything, as long as y'know I'm an ABC (Anything But Country) kind o'guy.

This music isn't a general rule but was used by us one time....now every time I hear it I get goosebumps...hubby had it all planned out ahead of time...

After a few sips of Patron tequila he grabbed me, tied me up in bed and put a blindfold on me. Then he put headphones on my head. He had made a CD with several tracks of the same song....Nine Inch Nails "I wanna fuck you like an Animal". What proceeded was several hours of extacy, all to the same song. After awhile it became so surreal, I felt like I was in another dimension lol.

You don't hear that song much on the radio anymore, but when it comes on it makes me moist...kinna like Pavlov's dog

Wow, listening to the same song for several hours would normally drive me insane...but in that case I might be ok with it!

We keep it simple, anything that ROCKS. AC/DC, Ozzy. Thin Lizzy, early Johnny Winter, you get the picture.

The music makes you feel like something GRAND is about to happen!!! So I'm driving around Philadelphia blasting this out. Oh, yes, something grand happened!! Some @$$ rear-ended my car!

I'll put it on again to get in the mood and see if I can get rear-ended again! This story should be SOO much better.

Bummer! That happened to me last month (although no Bocelli on the stereo at the time). All fixed now, though.

I've got a techno version of Con Te Partiro as well makes for an interesting segue from one to the other.

The music depends on what kind of groove we're into at the moment. With the sensual massage followed by slow and tender love making, Reggae is the ticket. But, I have to admit, The Eagles will do it for me anytime!

"Mood music" is different from "Fuck music"

Sometimes I wish I had a DJ in my bedroom so he could do the change-ups depending on how well I'm doin' in the sack...
