How about, as an "ice-breaker" to an "orgy", or to "any" form of sexual activity with any mumber of people, I advocate the following, based on Julie's "Poll" question, about whether or not, "anyone" would participate in a "dark room orgy?"

Now, I am a single mature male, and being in a "dark room orgy" is a "fantasy" I have had for ten years now....I want to be seduced by a mix of males AND females, with more than three couples for small groups, and in a larger group, by as many as a fifty to a hundred persons, ALL taking their turns on making love to me, either by themselves or as couples, for at least an hour, and more if I can take it...and I agree with Julie, that guys who say that "...the idea turns [them] off because another guy could be touching you or sucking you and you wouldn't know it?" A VERY BIG part of the "swinging" life-style, DOES involve some "bi-activity" by both male and females....otherwise you cannot "really" be "swinging" at all. ...AND it should involve "male bi-activity"... So...YES...I would LOVE to be in a "dark room orgy" .....I just hope a group here in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area will be willing to do this... for and WITH me....Michael

I can make only two observations about this.

First, while I know several folks that have the "dark room" fantasy, I have never met anyone who would willingly participate in one.

And second, you said "A VERY BIG part of the "swinging" life-style, DOES involve some "bi-activity" by both male and females....otherwise you cannot "really" be "swinging" at all." While it may look this way from your perspective, I can tell you for much of the swinging population this is not true at all. In our case, neither one of us being bi, our swinging involves no bi activity at all. Frankly, while I have met and know several men who swing that are bi, they still amount to less than 1% of the swinging population that I know personally. So I seriously doubt that any activity that involves bi males will be seen at any clubs in the near future. As a matter of fact, my guess is, if a club host planned this type of an ice breaker it would be the death of that club, no matter how much the idea may appeal to a few.

As an example, one of our local clubs recently had an orgy theme night. Even though orgies are much more accepted than this would be, most of the regulars at this club stayed away that night. while I didn't go, I understand that the orgy night was a total bust for the club, so I doubt we will see another one of those.

I have to agree, to be a swinger is what you want to do with this lifestyle. The rules are to do only what you are comfortable with. It is nonsense to make this some sort of Boy Scout meeting with merit badges of who has completed the perfect swing cycle. Not all women who swing are bi-sexual and not all men who swing are bi-sexual. This is not a goddamn one-upmanship challenge.

Do you expect to get a merit badge for each sex act you perform? Do you want a double cum crested pelican birdie for the act of receiving not just a blow job from a woman but from a man too? And only if both swallow?

No, swinger sex is what the individual is comfortable with, not the group.

As for ice breakers, I for one find that it is very easy to step up to a women and just do that small talk we are all accustomed to before I ask, “Would you like to make out and see where it all leads too?” The women are there to be worshiped and adored. As they should be. They are softer and much cuddlier than my pillow.

If you’re any good at what you do, the word will get around and the next woman will want to be with you. My swing partner says that most men, not all, just most are intimidated by other men. She should know, she gauges all of her lovers and I’ll guess just as much as other women do.

Or maybe you’ll like Caveman Night where the man takes whatever he wants to suck, lick and fuck. Just see how far that will get you.

I for one don’t like the “darkroom orgy”; it seems more like an adolescent college prank thought up from boys.

I know my last few comments are going to get me into hot water yet once again, but so what. I can only see it from my side of the fence. And I do ask questions of the lovely ladies all of the time. I have to know, did they enjoy themselves?

The dark room thing appears to be a hot trigger. I can see myself being comfortable enough to participate in one at some house party if the conditions were right.

But back to ice breakers, the trick is to get people moving and talking. I can't imagine a better ice breaker than a hot tub. Communicate with several folks before the party and plan some tame group activity that's generally accepted. Invite other folks to join in. The activity could be anything like naked twister or group massage or whatever is appropriate for the weather and the group....

I totally agree. Ice breakers are so necessary especially when meeting new people. Its tough some times, not being able to just lock up and get down to sex. I can think of a few times that we have been to that point of giving up and leaving. Because the conversations were either so good and entertaining, or everyone was just afraid of making a move for fear of being overbearing. Fortunately, I'm a pretty good ice breaker now, compared to when we started.

LOL, Mrs. SIPs is always the ice breaker when we go to parties. I always find it funny when everyone stands around drinking and looking at their feet for the first 30-40 minutes of a party, when we all know what we're there for!

A couple we recently met had us pick up some stuff to make an appetizer for the meal they were preparing. Once we got to their home, they encourged us to help them cook and prepare the meal, set the table, serve the food, make drinks, etc. We found this to be a very effective ice breaker since they kept us busy talking and moving the whole time!
