One idea was that everyone would draw a costume theme (i.e. fire-fighter, college student, pimp/hoe, naughty nurse/doctor) out of a bag. It would be set up so that there would be 1 matching costume theme for each gender. In theory, everyone will show up to the party and have to find their new "date" for the night by finding the guy/girl wearing their matching costume. Obviously they wouldn't be required to end up with that person at the end of the night (if there's no chemistry, there's no chemistry), but at the very least, it forces you to intermingle with new people, plus you get a new "wingman." ![]() Too complicated or possible fun? |

| Swingers Board Addict | Hi guys It could be fun, or it could leave you sort of hanging if it doesn't work out. First off it's not easy to come up with costumes, some people don't feel comfortable in certain things. Secondly, we have been to quite a few house party's where people come up with ideas for games that get people to mingle, some have worked, others have not. If you do it and it doesn't work out just have a back up plan that you can go with. From our experience there has to be sparkage between couples and nothing will generate that if it isn't already there. Good luck though and please let us know how it goes. Lol_Omg

SLS Name:Spoomonkey | I like the idea, but it does have some big "bomb-ability" to it. If the couples know each other well enough, it might go off without a hitch - otherwise, you could end up putting people together and basically ruining their night. As far as the idea goes, it is a great one. Just a lot of wrinkles to think through. With the right group of people, we'd go to that! Spoomonkey

That way, folks could draw and paint the costumes on each other's naked bodies. Talk about interaction!!!!

I'm thinking as a couple a lot of couples like to dress as a couple. We are doing cop and prisoner this year. That said, there may be other cops and prisoners at the parties we host/attend... so we may find that we have multiple matches. I think maybe instead of having people draw and forcing there to only be one match per costume... perhaps just tell everyone to pick half of a set (and provide a series of ideas to choose from), so that no couple comes matched with each other. That way you don't have to worry about someone drawing a costume they don't want to wear or that just won't work for them. |

In fact I've posted several examples on the Swingersboard Story section. The secret seemed to be to match the odd couples up for just a short time to see if the chemistry develops then the rest of the evening is open to be with their match-up or with someone else. For example, we would have the odd couples eat a meal together. We did a box lunch once at a park we rented. Everyone wore "Little house on the prairie" clothes. Our club liked to get nekkid right away so costumes tended to be very brief. We might have odd couples undress each other then do the first dance together. That always got things off to a good start. Another thing we did was to give the matched couples a sheet of paper with some facts to get from their new partners about their past, their likes, favourite positions, etc. Then each would tell one of the new-found facts to the group. Body painting generally worked well too. We usually found a way to make the events a contest with categories like the best, the worst, and the naughtiest. I'll leave it to your imagination to figure out what the prizes were. The mix and match games almost always worked when they encouraged new connections but not when they tried to force the issue for the duration of the party. Stage a mingling event then go on with something else in which they don't have to stay together. BTW dancing nekkid with a stranger (the old fashioned kind where you touch) often develops chemistry as you get to know the person. Nekkid is kind of like naked but with the intent to do something naughty.

I will admit though that both Mrs. GT and myself intermingle better than most without any help from the hosts or games of this sort. I have to say that having been involved in a few "ice breaker" games at clubs or parties in the past, I have since opposed them when the idea is brought up, and declined to participate when it was actually done.

Have a costume/theme party and see where it goes from there. And don't worry if they don't. It's about the party. Or have some kind of party events that loosen up the evening. Guess the penis/breast. Finger the Monkey. Whose lips are these? Whose the fastest ejaculator? Have everyone show up naked and they wear brown paper bags and pretend they are New Orleans Saints fans. ![]()
