How do you start things at a house party?

We hosted our first ever house party last weekend, Our thanks go to all of you at this bulletin board who gave us those really great ideas, especially those who recommended the Sexdrive game. But we have to tell you. The best icebreaker ever is the massage table. One of the invited couples brought it. They set it up in the front room. All it took was one person to get up on the table to get a four-handed massage. After that, everybody was wanting one.

Well my suggestion since you’ve indicated it’s you and your SO plus another couple, is at dinner sit next to each other’s SO’s instead of your own. Keep the talk light hearted and get to know the person you’re considering spending the evening intimately with. With a good dinner wine, and no I’m not suggesting drunkenness or overt intoxication here, but just something that’ll go good with the meal and make the environment more comfortable. By the time the meals over and you’re moving in the living room, you might find without really noticing or thinking about it the SO hostess has taken your arm then find yourself sitting with her on the couch continuing your chat. Likewise following you in your SO will probably likewise be occupied either on a couch, floor cushions whatever with chatting to the host. Then before you know it . . . Ah but what do I know?

Last house party we went to, I stacked the deck - set something up with a fuckbuddy.

So, after a period of socializing, I said to him, "Let's fuck!" We went into one of the bedrooms, and by the time we came out, the swinging was in full swing, so to speak.

Usually just takes one person to make that first move, and everyone goes for it.

We gave a small party last month that was centered around trying a Sybian. This was our first swing party. There were two other couples and the guy who owned the Sybian there. He demo'd the Sybian and we went downstairs to watch a DVD of the Sybian in use. Things dragged along for about three hours while we sat in the living room watching the DVD, snacking, and talking. Finally, we went upstairs again to see the Sybian. The three women kept declining to try the Sybian. Finally one guy said, "The last woman to undress uses the Sybian first." Suddenly, women's clothes were flying everywhere. Then, my partner said, "We are not doing anything while there is still guys with clothes on. Men's clothes were then flying everywhere. Very soon, feeling and touching of breasts and dicks started, one of the woman tried the Sybian, a guy and a gal were sucking her nipples, and the party was on.

We now realize that the critical thing is to get everyone nude, and then nature takes over.

We have two couples we have been "close" to several times and make it a point to go to parties together. The six of us are exhibitionists so it doesn't take long for some sort of sex act to begin. We have been invited to parties just for our "starting" abilities.

At the open parties we throw there is a 10:00 pm rule. This rule states that there must be at least some nudity by 10:00 pm. Breasts for women and down to shorts for the guys. Naturally we prefer to be naked.

In a couple/couple situation we read the signs and follow. In most cases we start and the other couple follows and then it's a group thing. We are very careful in these situations...it seems everyone is not as comfortable having sex in front of others as we are.

We agree with the sex dice post as well. We had a set at one of our parties and some interesting things happened in very short order.

Haven't tried the massage idea, but have made a mental note and will give it a whirl soon.

At our favorite on-premise club the exhibitionist thing takes over and we "start". We spent some time on the dance floor in various states of un-dress and ultimately got to know a couple better that we had met previously and then "started" with them...or maybe they "started" with us...either way we all "finished" in the end.

In the end, nudity seems to be the common denominator. Someone needs to get naked. It seems most are more comfortable when the women start but I have been known to be the starter. In any case, someone gets naked and others follow suit.

Well in our years of experience we have learned what you must first do for a house party and that is,,,,Make sure your house is Clean,this sounds like common sence but you wouldnt believe how some just dont care.

We seem to like starting it off on a lighter note. Play some strip poker to get naked and then use the tennis ball under the chin to pass between naked partners. That sort of warms things up. Another one is to pass the cucumber between the knees.

Start out with this mild games before going to things like the dice where you have to lick and kiss or suck.

A fun play on this.... I saw something at Spencers the other day, it's a kit for jello shots that lets you do the "suck & blow" game. Basically you make jello shots in a tube and one person blows the jello out while the other sucks it.

Saw that for the first time in a bar in New Orleans a few years ago. The only problem was I blew too hard and the jello shot came out the girls nose!!! So blow with care!!! I learned my lesson.

Getting things started is difficult. There are several things we've tried that work well.

Sometimes, L announces that everyone is overdressed, and she removes her clothes, then starts removing clothes of a playmate. If the others don't get into the act soon, she states that everyone but her is overdressed. That usually gets the clothes coming off. Other times, L unzips a guy, starts playing with him, and starts removing his and her clothes.

One thing we've noticed over the years is, it seems the longer everyone sits around dressed, socializing, the more difficult it is to make the transition, and the more nervous some folks get. This seems especially true with inexperienced playmates, so we try to get things going early.

To alleviate this, several times we have just stated up front that to avoid the long, nervous socializing, it's best to just get naked and get started. It's amazing how many times folks breathe a sigh of relief and agree! So we get in a room, lock the door, and spend a max of 5 minutes saying hi (that gives folks a chance to size each other up and change their minds), get naked, and get down to what everyone is there for anyway. Works GREAT!

So for us, the easiest transition is minimal transition. Just get down to it one way or another as soon as possible after meeting. We know this won't work for everyone, but it works fine for us.

After dinner, chatting etc., my wife will usually just look at the other woman and say, "Can I kiss you?" (if she's bi/bi-curious). It works wonders If the woman isn't bi, she would ask the other man, or I would ask the other woman (hasn't happened yet). Don't make a big deal out of it. Everyone is hoping someone will do something, so just do it!

For us the hot tub is the best way to get things started. After an hour or so of chatting with our guests over a cocktail or two one of us will suggest that we take our drinks to the hot tub. We explain that no swimsuits are allowed in the tub. So usually everyone strips, showers and gets in the tub. It is very relaxing and after a while hands begin to roam and one thing leads to another ending up in the bedroom.
