What do you think you should supply and have available for your guests at a house party? As a minimum, we have: - bottled water - soft drinks - basic snacks - towels - tissues - wet wipes (flushable) - condoms - various lubes For more intimate parties with close friends we also supply beer, wine & liquor as well as a cold buffet. We also sometimes bring in new and interesting sex toys for people to try out. How do you provision your parties? -- Danny |

| Pure Evil..In a cute suit Join Date: Aug 2004 Posts: 2,497 Location: Nova Scotia Status: Couple | There is a guy here in the city who throws a monthly house party. He charges $5.00 a person but that is only to cover the expense of the food. He lays out quite the buffet, and provides mix for everyone's drinks. He also does themes at his parties and hands out things to match the themes, such as bracelts, lays for hawian night. On 'Pimp and Hooker" night he had prizes for the couple who made the most money (he used play money ofcourse, everyone was give an amount to start with), and best dressed, etc. I think providing condoms can get a bit expensive after a while but if you are only having a small group of people and you don't have them on a regular basis then I think the condoms and the lube are a great idea. A good selection of music is a must. We attended a hot tub party once that didn't have enough towels on hand, that kinda sucked.. ![]()

We provide several ice chests for the storage of beer etc, ice for mixed drinks, we usually have on hand a few standard sodas etc for mixers but most people bring their own mixers anyhow. Disposable cups for mixed drinks comes in handy and we put out perm markers by the cups for people to write their names on cups so they dont misplace them while partying. Later in the evening we go thru several pots of coffee for those who want it. Theres always bottled water in the house, but most that want it bring their own. On the invites we always specify for all to bring their own condoms! Everyone prefers a different brand it seems...no way you can stock for them all! We put a bottle of lube or two in each play area of the house along with a box of baby wipes, towels for the squirters and always make sure there is a trash can in each room/play area too. We usually have an assortment of condoms should someone forget theirs or not bring enough. in the bathrooms we put piles of wash cloths, hand towels and full sized towels on the counter. This way people dont have to dig thru the linen closest looking for these items. Also make sure to have plenty of toilet paper LOL, nothing worse than running out of that at a party!!! Extra sheets is a must at our parties! Seems the beds always get well used and need to be changed during the course of the evening! As far as food....we provide munchies...chips, dips, veggie tray, fruit tray, something sweet like cookies. The people at our parties are there to play not to eat a meal so we usually have lots of munchies left over ![]() Laura |

Not only did we get to share our selves physically but we got to sample each other's culinary talents as well! The best was a party held by a couple who did the potluck thing then we held a vote towards the end of the evening for the best food dish brought. The winners were treated to a 20min sensual massage graciously donated by an attending couple who were both professional massage therapists! (No, I didn't win ) |

Did you organise the food thing so you didn't end up with three mac n' cheese casseroles? I kinda like the idea of expanding on that and having guests bring not just a dish, but a couple they didn't have chemistry with...you know like those "bring-a-single friend" parties that were all the rage in the 70's? | Swingers Board Addict | I'm glad I found this topic. I know a couple of people around here (San Diego) that hot some pretty decent parties, but they are kind of tight lipped about how they go setting things up, how they choose their guests, etc. So a lot of what I know has been via going to a few parties and clubs and piecing their ideas together. Now as far as your guest list, do you send out invitations usually or is it first come first serve until you reach max capacity? |
