House Party: Dealing with couples that don't get along

What do you do when you are planning a party and 2 of the couples you want to invite don't get along? We are good friends with one of the couples and have played with them before. The other couple we are becoming good friends with, but have never played with before. This couple is good friends with other good swinger friends of ours and they host huge meet and greets and get togethers in our area. We really like them and want to continue going to their functions. We just recently found out that this couple does not like the other and by this time have already mentioned our party to both of them. We could really use some advice on how to handle this.

This Suks...... tell me are you inviting other couples as well? this could reduce the friction at the party. You can also put out who is coming to the party and if ether couple decides not to come it is there loss.

There are always going to be people who don't get along. Hopefully, these people are adult enough to not make a scene and to just avoid each other. As long as you are inviting other couples then everything will be fine.

If, however, either of the couples is so immature that they can't be in the same place with someone they don't get along with without making a scene then hopefully they will be mature enough to just leave - if not you will get a much better view of the couples in question and may have to make a determination of whether or not one or both of them are really people you want to be around.

The fact that they don't get along is their problem. Don't let their problem become your problem. It's your party. You invite who you want to invite.

If one couple or the other tells you "We're not going to come if so and so is going to be there.", your simple answer should be: "We'll miss you."
