We have traveled for many years to conventions and clubs, all on premise in different states along with running a Lifestyles site so we get to talk to many people in the Lifestyle. Some of them newbies yet others been in it for over thirty years.
One thing is fact, there is not as many "swingers" at clubs or convention as there used to be yet there is ten times more people coming to both then their used to be.
Our home club here in Vegas normally has 300 plus people at it each saturday night. On most of those Saturday nights there will be about 15% to MAYBE 20% that play on a good night. Some nights the % is half that. Half the people at our home club are locals the balance is tourists.
The major convention here in Vegas each year we have also found that since there is 2500 to 3000 people at it that about 15% to 20% are also players. The people at convention come from all over the country/world.
We went to what was a great club in Florida, about 250 people there. It was a beautiful club but NO ONE was playing at all there on a Saturday night.
Many of us that have been in the Lifestyle many years have seen the same thing. The numbers of people "in" the lifestyle has grown greatly but a major portion of them do not swing. They all have their reasons for being in/around swingers and it is all good as far as we are concerned.
We tend to go to play parties since that is what we personally look for most of the time. Some locals here hold house parties or sometimes there is special parties at our home club that is geared toward the "players" in the crowd. When those parties are held there as been 200 to 250 people showing up and I would say that 90% to 95% of them are there playing.
