Wow, this sounds familiar as Mrs. and I were just discussing this topic after our last night out. We have also noticed that a large percentage of couples are at the club to watch but not participate. Of the ones that are their to participate a quite a few of those are looking for a bi female and the husband/ boyfriend just wants to watch. Sucks for us straight couples interested in swapping.
At the club we go to the majority of couples that go are probably interested in swapping, but we have found that if we aproach a couple that we both find attractive the odds are probably less than 1 in 5 that they will be interested in swapping for straight sex. We have even been aproached by a couple that said they found us attractive and wanted to know if we would be willing to have sex while they watched. I said I wasn't really in to that, I told them I was more of an audience participation kind of guy. When you factor in the fact of how difficult it is to find two couples who find each other mutually atractive or compatable to begin with, it really thins out the odds.
But every once in a while you beat the odds and find a compatable couple, so I guess that is what keeps you coming back.
