The longest we have gone (swinging for three years) was eight months. It was right after the break up of our relationship with our first couple. That relationship lasted almost a year.

We were hurt. We also learned many things and were very careful and selective who we chose for our second couple.

Unbelievably, after eight months of nothing we met two new couples the same week! We juggled both relationships for many months, unable and unwilling to choose just one. Eventually, one couple lost interest in us after they accomplished their "to-do list",
the other became complicated with their family issues. Luckily we had made other chat friends during these relationships, so it wasn't difficult to find a couple we had interest in after that. We have known our current couple for a year and a half.
