I always find these discussions interesting. I guess I've been lucky...I've never had the experience Bama described in his first post. By the time I get to the point of meeting someone, I generally have a real good idea of who they are, what they look like, and what they are about from e-mails, chat, phone conversations. I don't put a lot of stock in photo's...Glamour Shots can make even me look beautiful!!
The other thing...I honestly believe I could meet (
fill in the blank with your favorite name) and not be sexually attracted to them until I got to know them. I've gone to the mall before and just sat there...watching people stroll by...and asking myself, "Am I attracted to this one...that one..." Rarely is the answer yes...I guess the attraction is as much mental for me as it is physical. Oh, well......it takes different types to make the world go 'round....
