I read something about the commentary that features on the DVD version of 'The Opening of Misty Beethoven'. Apparently, a typical modern day porn, shot on DV, will be done in a day. One of the lavish Paul Thomas/Vivid productions might shoot for five or six days. But back in the '16/35mm was common' era, the shooting of 'Misty Beethoven' took a whole three weeks.
Says a lot about quality control.
