I think in this case it is important to read between the lines of what she is trying to say. Is she bringing this up because she likes when her husband is dominant, or in control, and she feels like perhaps this isn't in line with that? Is she worried that it might be humiliating to him? Perhaps she finds it humiliating for him? Or she worries that he doesn't truly enjoy it?
I don't know her so I can't say what is on her mind, but I do think it is important to look at her perspective on this. It's not just a simple matter of whether he is ok with what they are doing. Rather she needs to find a way to be ok with it.
