Yes, it happens and normally it does not take long to figure it out. In a club or most parties many people know each other so the word spreads fast.
Being in Vegas we get this at the club once in a while and we send them packing as soon as we find it. We have seen it happen at many other clubs across the country also.
There are some clubs that don't seem to mind "pros" in them though. We tend to warn people against attending those places.
