Neither my wife nor I can speak from experience regarding larger groups, other than the usual foursomes. Only during one of those encounters was there any two on one action, and that was when I received dual attention from the two ladies, one being my wife of course.
I think most women, even those turned on by the thought of being in the center of several men at once, would be frightened to a degree at the possibility of actually carrying it off. There's always the danger of one or more getting carried away and out of control, so some safeguards should be in place -- ie at least having your husband present, or another male you trust.
And I agree with Julie that spontaneity is far better than something planned, but I'd say that applies to most sexual situations.
