It seems like every year we take a break from mid-August through March (with a little fun time around the holidays) because of kids, school, sports, and such. Initially, it was tough because we would meet couples who we really enjoyed, but who were bothered by our unavailable status for several months at a time. I think they (naturally) thought we were being disingenuous about enjoying our time together. Luckily, we have found a number of friends who completely understand.
