How did you go about finding the guys? Had you met any of them prior?

You said he met them all about a week before, did all 5 show up to meet him? Or did just the three who showed up later show up?

From my own experience, I'd agree that it's normal that about half (if you are lucky) of those you invite actually show up - especially when dealing with guys you don't know. You can increase that by dealing with guys you already know/ have had sex with before.

I don't think your methods sound paranoid at all. I think having your husband meet them ahead of time was a great idea. At the very least I would suggest that if he didn't, that you should still meet them in a neutral location (the hotel bar, perhaps) before taking them up to your room (for the same reasons you mentioned).
