Traffic Light party
We have a local meet and greet that we're trying to come up with themes for. i just wanted to chew over an idea i had based on a party i had at uni.
the theme was a "traffic light" party. in the vanilla world, basically you come dressed in an item of colour(edit... i meant clothing), either red, orange (or yellow... whichever colour your middle traffic lights are) and green.
Red means - i am in an exclusive relationship, thanks but no thanks. or i'm not at a point in my life where i'm ready for intimacy
Orange - i am in an open relationship/i'm not looking, but if the right person comes along.../ i'm in a relationship but it's on the rocks... basically a "i'm not looking, but i'm open to the idea of a hookup
Green - set to go... a spark between us, and there'll be fireworks.
I had the idea of tweeking this to suit a meet and greet situation.
Red - i'm in a monogomous committed relationship, we're not looking at the moment (ideal for people that want to see what the lifestyle is about, members of couples that haven't got their partner there and only play together, or for the odd (and i mean this as infrequent, not "unusual lol) single/couple that is socially involved in the swinging scene but doesn't play).
Orange - we're not really looking, but if Mr and Mrs Pitt swept us off our feet, we'd consider it. category for the Newbs who are dunking their toes in the water for the first time, those that are looking for extremely specific things (like a single female to dress up in a chicken suit and tickle them with feathers while they make love). or for soft swap couples.
Green - we're hardened swingers. a good conversation, a mutual attraction, and we very well may be swapping more than phone numbers... my Wife is a mynx, and i love to share her, etc...
this is just a rough of my idea. if anyone can suggest other tweaks to the categories, or the idea itself, go right ahead... of course No means No - just because your in green doesn't mean that he/she'll do anyone with a heartbeat and the right plumbing,.
The group that the meet and greet attracts is pretty diverse (it's basically a catch up event for the local swing dating site). i was thinking the idea may attract a few more people, because those in red have less of a risk that they're going to have to turn people down (because it's obvious they don't play) and those in green know that if their chatting to someone in red, there likely to get a "no" if they ask.
now i know that we don't all have sexy orange clothes. normally at the M & G we have nametags, so could incorporate the colour into them, or wristbands, or something non-clothing.
and finally, would you guys attend a M & G themed like this?
