This is more advice than an item on a checklist, but here goes:
If you feel you are that excited (and I am excited for you!), then I suggest you try to take a measured approach before taking any step you decide to take. There can always be a next time, so please don't do anything too quickly. I know that feeling you have when your head is buzzing, everything is so new, you can't believe you may get the chance to {insert whatever here}. Just make sure you each take the time to make sure it's right.
