I agree with you here, if you are old enough to be held accountable as an adult with adult consequences then you are old enough to participate in any activity that you desire in my opinon.
I agree with what both Tanman and Naughty A said. Do though make sure you do a lot of reading around the board here. There is a bundle of info in the New Swingers section that will help you as you move ahead.
