I know many will think that's a very irresponsible thing for a doctor to say to a patient, but I asked for the facts and he gave them to me. |

What the doctor should have said is that their has never been a proven case of the transmission of HIV via heterosexual vaginal sex
between otherwise healthy sex partners.
While it is true that worldwide, heterosexual transmission of HIV is common. In the places where it is common other forms of std's, like Herpes, are rampant. While it is possible for HIV to be vaginally transferred if either partner has open genital sores, if they are healthy, with no open sores, it is believed by reputable researchers and medical experts to be highly unlikely, if not impossible, for transmission to occur through vaginal intercourse.
The bottom line is that people and organizations with an agenda have twisted the facts about the transmission of HIV so far from reality that it is hard to sift through the baloney to asses ones own risk. But if one gets down to what is actually been proven, it turns out that for most of us, as long as we don't engage in condomless anal sex, and just have vaginal sex with our swinging partners, HIV is absolutely a non-issue. And even if one were to believe the most pessimistic of these false claims, that HIV can be transferred through vaginal sex, you still would be statistically more likely to be hit by lightning walking from your car to the swingers club door than you are of contracting HIV once inside.
