The crossover point is definitely the more popular thing. Actually, I believe most folks that swing are really overlappers with poly. I find it unnatural to share only the physical and to leave out the emotional. Half the fun of new people is the emotional connection. It just makes the sex that much better. Also as humans, it's hard to not develop feelings for other people we share such a physical entanglement with.
