mick2150 is off to a great start
Default The overlap between swinging and polyamory

I'm not a prolific poster, however I do read and I suppose, 'lurk' at times; & then, every now & again I get this 'note' & I am encouraged to come back & post again - OK, so since I have no problem with that, here is another post (BTW, I really do 'get' the openness & honesty in the swinger LS, it is where we poly's - maybe "sw'olys" - really do overlap.)

For those on SB, who are OK & comfortable leaning towards the poly world, there really is a lot going on in the mainstream media; NYC Pride w/end attracted a great deal of coverage, most of which was either open, supportive, but very little really negative stuff.

As a polygeezer (google it!) who has been open to the concept of poly before the word was coined, I am, in my maturity, really happy to see that at least a small but significant group of thinkers are breaking out of the undergrowth and presenting a balanced view of some alternative lifestyles.

Main point for me is that if 50%+ of marriages are ending up on the rocks, then we need to step back & re-think this mantra. (OK I am a sailor from waaay back!)

And this board is a great spot to present ideas - ways of life that can & do work positively in various modes in the world of 'alternative' lifestyles.

<< There now Julie, you got me back on the board & posting again!! >>>

Just trying to start an open & constructive post with those of us that 'get' and are OK with the poly-leaning end of the spectrum.

M.
