Default Throat Cancer via Oral Sex?

Good morning everyone! I was up early this morning as we had family leaving to head back home and after she left I was watching Good Morning America and heard this story of a young lady who is 38 years old who thought she had a normal sore throat. However, come to find out it was stage 2 cancer on her tonsils. You ask how she got the cancer? Well according to the article, she contracted the HPV virus through oral sex which the virus then created the cancer.

I have attached the link for you all to read the story and what medical experts have to say about this new discovery and I am curious to know what you think of this? Knowing that this is possible now to get an HPV orally, does that make you rethink of your practices during sex to perform oral sex for the fear of contracting an HPV in the throat?

I told MrVan that is kind of a scary thought. Because as we all know there is no way for a man to know whether or not he has an HPV so woman like myself who love to give oral, may be putting themselves at risk for cancer of the throat. And the same for men who may be with woman who may have an HPV and not know that she is carrying this. It makes me a little concerned now that this could actually be possible. I would have never thought this possible but apparently it now is.

So thoughts please! Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
