So true, we see that at our club all the time. If you sit and wait for folk to come to you, you may be sitting most of the night.
We got past that by playing pool. It gives you a chance to start a conversation, while your partner is playing pool you can ask someone else to dance, or just get to know people.
If there's a group or "orgy" room where you can just watch others, that also helps if you start a quiet conversation there with someone else.
Whatever you do, just don't sit there.
