Was the club on or off premise? That can really make a difference. In our area, the off premise tends to attract more newbies and shy folks (heck, that's exactly how we started and why we think off premise clubs are vital to the lifestyle). Clubs can be hit or miss depending on the night, the theme, the crowd. One night hoppin, the next night dead. Of course, with on-premise you can always create your own fun!! At the end of the day you have to settle on what works for you as a couple to meet others - personal ads, house parties, meet & greets, or clubs. Each is different and attracts different types of people. Try them all...and enjoy!
